Manual Progression Doh!
When Surfcomp first launched it was a surf competition system that was based on a highly intelligent algorithm that automatically created – seeded heats, heat, semi, repercharge and finals creation plus automatic progression – all without straining the grey matter. Then we discovered not everyone wanted to rollout their event this way. So we decided to dumb things up – just a little.
To be smart, sometimes you need to be just a little bit dumb.
Enter Manual Progression…
You can now decide on whether to create an automatic progressing surf comp or a manual progressing event. This allows greater flexibility for manually progressing surfers from one round to the next.
So How Is It Done?
Start by going to Settings > Event Settings – choose Auto Progressing – No. Do this before generating heats and you can create a rounds-based competition. Your rules rule – OK!
